HOUSTON, Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Millar, Inc. is pleased to announce a new collaboration agreement with APAC Scientific Pty Ltd as a continuation of its strategic expansion into Asia Pacific (APAC). Through this agreement, a Sydney, Australia office will be established to enable the direct sale of Millar’s innovative Life Science Telemetry System and to facilitate the sale of the Mikro-Cath™ cardiovascular pressure catheter into approved countries in the region.

Sydney is an ideal location to deliver enhanced, local support to regional Millar customers and distributors while also establishing relationships with key regional opinion leaders. This will accelerate the adoption of Millar Telemetry Systems to enable new scientific discoveries within the APAC region and allow Millar to reach clinical influencers interested in expanding medical understanding through globally recognized clinical product offerings.

Graham Milliken, Chief Executive Officer at APAC Scientific Pty Ltd, will lead the effort in establishing the Millar Sydney office under the collaboration agreement with Millar. Graham comments, “It has been great to reconnect the long-term relationship with Tim Daugherty, President & CEO at Millar, and join the exciting opportunity to build a new business division with the Millar team. Our companies share the same values when it comes to proven excellence, collaboration and customer service, and I look forward to developing stronger relationships with existing Asia Pacific distributors while building new distribution channels for Millar. I see significant potential for expansion in the APAC region and will work closely with the Millar team to meet the Company’s growth goals.”

“We are excited to take this next step in the Company’s plans for the Asia Pacific region as it will continue to play a greater role in Millar’s future. We look forward to providing a higher level of support to our customers and business partners and I am confident that APAC Scientific will represent the Millar brand with excellence and integrity,” says Tim Daugherty, President & Chief Executive Officer at Millar, Inc.

Millar’s expansion into this region began with the establishment of its first international office following the 2011 merger with Telemetry Research in Auckland, New Zealand. The Millar New Zealand office will remain a focused Innovation Hub that leverages the long-standing relationship with the University of Auckland’s Bioengineering Institute for innovative product development to support the Company’s strategic R&D efforts.
