At the core of the system is the MARTA Pad™, a patented, non-invasive solution enabling continuous, contact-free monitoring of vital signs without electrodes, probes, or restraints. By eliminating physical contact, MARTA reduces animal stress, minimises physiological interference, and improves data reliability. The system is scalable, fully sterilisable, and CE compliant (IEC 60601), with dedicated stereotactic solutions for mice and rats.

Contact-Free Monitoring with Integrated Thermal Support

The MARTA Pad continuously measures:

  • Heart rate

  • Breathing rate

  • Temperature

  • SpO₂ (coming soon)

All measurements are captured without attaching sensors to the animal. The pad also functions as a heating surface, supporting thermal stability during anaesthesia, imaging, and extended procedures.

Improved Anaesthesia Control and Workflow Integration

Real-time vital sign monitoring enables early detection of physiological changes and precise adjustment of anaesthesia depth, improving safety and experimental outcomes. The MARTA Pad integrates seamlessly with stereotactic frames, two-photon microscopes, and advanced imaging or surgical setups, without disrupting existing workflows.
